Ziggs and Heimerdinger are characters from the computer battle arena game League of Legends. 

Both head pieces were created from 3/4" rigid insulation foam. The foam was cut into rough shapes using a technique similar to CAT scans, building layer upon layer until a complete 3D image is formed. These piece were then glued and pressed until dry.  Once dried they were then sculpted into their final forms using files. The process was very time consuming but the end products were very light weight and surprisingly durable headpieces.

The Ziggs headpeice incorporated faux fur and LED lighting. The rest of the costumes were thrown together, cannibalizing off-the-shelf costumes and clothes.  

With a total of over 320 hours these two headpieces were big undertakings.
